Adult part-time courses arc offered to students with or <br />without experience who would like to improve their draw­ <br />ing and painting skills. Many of the school’s full-time students <br />began in the part-time program. Others choose to maintain their <br />part-time status, meldmg their art studies with career and <br />family. The same skills taught in he full-time program can be <br />learned in the part-time courses o\er a longer period. <br />Pen and Ink study after Anhur Rackham <br />Marc Johnson, first year student <br />A part-time program for gifted young students is also offered. <br />This program (ages four through eighteen) is designed to cultivate <br />the special potential which many students seem to have at an <br />early age. The young students are trained in pencil, watercolor, <br />and pen and ink techniques . Richard Lack was trained <br />by R.H. Ives Gammell who in turn studied with William I^xton. <br />William Paxton was trained by the nineteenth century French <br />painter Jean-Leon Gerome.
