It is one of the few studios in this country which offer <br />a sound training for the talented and serious student. The school's <br />organization and curriculum are directly descended from the Ecole <br />des Beaux Arts and the ateliers of nineteenth-century France. The <br />instructors have all benefitted froa this instruction and are them­ <br />selves competent painters and qualified to teach. <br />It is a rare privilege for any conaunity to be the home of an art <br />school whose purpose is as serious and positive. Indeed, if history <br />is an impartial judge, this area may be as significant for its artistic <br />influence as any center of artistic renewal in the past. <br />Hopefully, Atelier LeSueur will be enabled to continue its valuable <br />service in a new location in our community. As is sometimes the <br />the case, subtle things of great import often go unnoticed and un­ <br />heralded in our bombastic and headline-oriented culture. Such have <br />been the accomplishments of Atelier LeSueur.
