We employ a faulty
which includes some of the finest painters in the Cla.ssical tradition in the world.
Our school is dedicated to the preservation of a tradition that was begun in
Seventeenth Century France; that of Qassical Realist painting.
When we agreed to the purchase of this building, we were lol to believe that
there was an operative Non-conforming Conditional Use PemiiL
Technically d« property stould have been adopted as a school in 1967 when
tlK Municipal Code was written siiKc the property was an elementary public
school. Nevertheless there was a conditional use pennit to operate the premises
as a setool when the Minnetonka An Center owned the building. Then, during
Martin and Andrea Schnetdei's ownership of the building. Uterc was a performing
arts (dance) school housed there until we entered into a purchase agreement.
The majority of our students are mature; as our entry demands are quite high,
requiring considerable discipline. Consequently we expect no incidents that
would disturb the traiK)uility of our residential neighborhood. If there was ever a
need for overflow parking, it could easily be accommodated bj • •carrangement
with our neighbor, the Minnetonka Art Center. And I’m sure that they would
appreciate our space for their events. We have instructed our student body and
staff 10 refrain from parking on the side of the road - and since we have ample
parking for our needs, we expect to see tk ) viol'Uious in this regard.
Thank you ever so much, for your earnest consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Jeff Scon.
