Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay MN 55323 <br />To whom it may concern. <br />I am writing to ensure tha our application for an area variance is given the earliest <br />review by the Planning Commission and the City Council. <br />Last fall we purchased a .76 acre lot at 4030 Elm Street with the intent of removing <br />the structures and building a new home. Before we bought the lot, we asked one of the city s <br />building inspectors if there would be a problem building on the lot, even though the area was <br />zoned LR-IB. His response was positive and no mention of an area variance was made. The <br />previous owner and real estate agent were given similar responses. When our builder <br />submitted for the permit to build, we received notice that we required an area variance. <br />This letter is being submitted with the variance application in hopes of securing the <br />earliest possible approval (go before the Planning rommiMion on March 21. 1994 and the <br />ritv Cnunril nn Marrh IfL 1994V We thank you for your time and consideration in this <br />matter. <br />Sincerely, <br />George M.
