MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1994 <br />ATTENDANCE <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on February 22. 1994 with the following members <br />present: Cnair Charles Schrocdcr. Sandra Smith. Charles Nolan. Candace Rowlette. Steve <br />Peterson, and Janice Berg. Commissioner Dale Lindquist was excused. The following <br />fepresented staff: Building and Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, City Engineer Shawn <br />Gustafson, and City Recorder Barbara Anderson. Chair Schrocdcr called the meeting to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. <br />(#1) 1903 ERNEST LEMMERMAN <br />1297 WH.DHURST TRAIL/4620 TONKAVTEW LANE <br />SUBDIVISION OF A LOT LLNE REARRANGEMENT <br />Mabusth reviewed the suff report and stated that staff recommended approval of the request <br />subject to the stipulations listed in the staff report. She noted that the boundaries adjacent to <br />Wildhurst and Tonkaview are vague. The surveyor advised a registration of the land may be <br />required as a condition of platting. Mr. Lemmerman was present and had no comments. <br />Chairman Schrocdcr noted this was a public hearing and asked if anyone wished to address this <br />item. No one present wished to speak. <br />Rowlette moved, Peterson seconded, to recommend approval of #1903 for Ernest Lemmerman <br />at 1297 Wildhurst Trail/4628 Tonkaview Lane, subject to the following stipulations; <br />1. Application cannot be presented for Council’s action until legal description issue is <br />resolved and plat is finalized. <br />2. Designation of drainage and utility easements 10’ wide along the perimeter property lines <br />of both lots and 5 ’ along the interior. <br />3. Realignment of side lot line so that existing garage can meet 10’ side setback. <br />6 ayes. 0 nays. <br />(#3) #1897 R. HUNT GREENE AND JANE E. PICARD <br />865 PARTENWOOD ROAD <br />VARIANCES - CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />Mabusth gave the staff report and noted that staff does not recommend removal of the backout <br />apron because of the length of the driveway. Jane Picard was present and had no comments. <br />Chairman Schroeder stated he felt the applicants had made a good effort to make the chanps <br />recommended by the Planning Commission. He concurred with staffs recommendation <br />regarding retention of the backout area.
