MN 55391 <br />COPIES: <br />TYPE OF APPLICATION: Sketch Plan Review <br />DATE OF MEETING: 10/25/93 <br />COtTVCIL ACTION - MOTION: (No action required) <br />Council considered the various issues and concerns raised by the developer and staff. <br />While no specific vote was taken, general direction in a number of areas included: <br />1.General support for preservation of "Ancient Ones" site via an outlet or park lot <br />dedicated to the public, with the following thoughts: <br />Applicant and property owner to provide substantial written documentation <br />from appropriate sources (Native American representatives. State <br />• archeologist, etc.) that the site being preserved is the proper location, that <br />this is an acceptable way to preserve it, etc. <br />Provide documentation of expected future uses. <br />City likely will not provide funding for preservation and/or maintenance <br />of bam or house, and feasibility of preserving same is questioned. <br />2. <br />3. <br />Trail system concept generally met with positive response <br />Mixed reaction on the need for road connection corridor on Coffin property; <br />connection corridor should be dedicated on Dickey property as shown; City intent <br />to consider cul-de-sac as private roads until such time that connector links are <br />actually built. <br />4. General agreement that no septic setback to Type 1 wetlands is needed. <br />5.Somewhat mixed reaction to the issue of dry-buildable credit for Type 1 wetlands, <br />but no final decision was forthcoming. This issue will be placed on Council’s <br />November 8th agenda for further discussion. <br />6. The question of future City sewer was raised.
