That notice <br />requested that we submit a revised site plan and hardcover <br />inventory reflecting the removal of an additional 210 square feet <br />Of hardcover improvements from our property located at 2760 <br />Shadyvood Road. Please be advised that we are unable to remove <br />additional hardcover as requested by the Planning Commission. <br />Acoordlngly, we hereby request that our original variance plan <br />(as presented to the Orono Planning Commlecion on January 18f <br />1994) bo presented to the orono city Council at its February 14th mddtlng• <br />Pursuant to the Planning commission’s notice, the reasons why we <br />are unable to remove additional hardcover are as follows: <br />1.The existing building is constructed with few options <br />for deletion of .existing hardcover primarily because of <br />an existing driveway easement over which we have no <br />control, <br />Making adjustments to the back yard portion of the <br />property is ineffective due to the layout of the house <br />and garage on the property, the easement on the east, <br />the natural, tread hill on the west and the strart on <br />the south. <br />3.All areas supported by retaining walls cannot be <br />altered without undermining the driveway areae. <br />4.The substantial front and side yards are well beyond <br />the required side setbacks and the 75' zone A setback <br />and with tha awoopt-ion of tha addition to tho r ofth, <br />will not be altered in any way. <br />2.
