Qauntv Road 6 Basin <br />The scream monitored at site S-3 is fhe major tnbutar>’ to Long LaJee and <br />conenbutes about 30 percent of the lake's entemai phosphorus load. <br />Mcmitcr.ng indicated that levels of phospnorus and sediments were rdadvely <br />high at stream site S-3, where this stream passes under County Road 6 prior to <br />discharging to the lake. <br />A sedimentation basin wiU be created at this site to reduce sediment and <br />nutrient loadings. The basin 'will be created in subwatershed LLC-7 just norA <br />of County Road 6 (Figure 6). Approximately 10.0 acres of land will be <br />fequired to create the 8.0-acre basin, and some I /4,0(X) cubic yards of soil will <br />be removed to achieve an avenge depth of 11.5 feet. <br />Once created, the peripheral area 'will be sodded to stabilize it and improve <br />aesthetics. Indigenous wetland trees and shrubs will also be planted around the <br />basin perimeter.
