NO. 29, SECOND SERIESAn Ordinance to aincnd Municipal Zoning Code ««cti<rtl 10.20, <br />subdivision 3 CG) to allov non-rental guest apartnonts vithxn a <br />residence as a conditional use, and to amend Section 10.02 by incorporating <br />a definition of "Guest Apartment". <br />The City of Orono Ordains: <br />The Municipal Code of the City of Orono is amended by adding <br />Ordir*ance No. 29# Second Series: <br />Section 1. Orono Municipal Code Section Subdivisio^^^ <br />hereby repealed and the following language substituted in its p.ace. <br />G.J i) Guest Houses. A separate dwelling constructed cyi an <br />Wistinq undivided lot for the sole use of the occupants <br />principal buildings, including their domestic <br />non-paying guests. All regular lot requirements shall be met by <br />the guest house. <br />ii) Non-rcntal Guest Apartments. An apartment within the <br />principal residence structure on a lot for the sole use <br />occSpan?s of the principal residence, <br />e^pliyees or non-p.yin, gu..t.. There .h.ll be at <br />access door to the apartment from within the principal structure, <br />and such door shall be the primary access to the apartment. <br />Application for such a ;uost apartment shall address the concerns <br />of parking, sewage treatment, entryway and interior acces <br />method. such apartments shall not ►‘V-*, <br />separately from the principal residence utilities and shall not <br />have a separate street address. <br />section 2. Orono Municipal Code Section 10.02 is hereby amended by <br />adding the following definition: <br />"Guest Apartment” - An apartment within a principal <br />structure for the sole use of the occupants of the principal <br />residence, including their domestic employees or their non-paying <br />Quests, witi; at le\st one acces. door to <br />within the principal structure, such door being the primary <br />access to the apartment. <br />/ <br />Sec^-ion 3 - Orono Municipal Code Section 10.20, Subdivision 3 (D) is <br />hireby repealed and the fo^llowing language substituted in Its place: <br />■ -I <br />mm <br />p:';- <br />:::;.p-^ mmm
