During this inspection I found the following: <br />1. The swimming pool has been left unsecured from <br />preventing children from playing in the area or falling into <br />the pool. <br />2. The swimming pool has not been maintained in a manner <br />in which the pool can be operable. <br />I am writing this letter to inform you that the above items <br />must be corrected as follows: <br />1. If you are to maintain this pool on the property you <br />must apply to the City for a variance to maintain an <br />accessory structure without a principal structure. <br />2. If you wish to not proceed in that manner, the pool <br />should be removed from the property. <br />3. As stated in a letter, date December 1, 1988, until the <br />swimming pool matter is resolved you must provide a fence <br />around the pool to prevent c.hildren from playing in the area <br />and from falling in. <br />' On September 6, 1989, I will conduct an inspection to verify <br />that this fence in installed around the pool to minimize the <br />hazard. The City is requesting that by September 28th, you <br />either remove the pool or apply for a variance to maintain this <br />pool on the property. Your failure to proceed with these orders <br />will result in citations being issued and the matter referred to <br />the City attorney for appropriate legal action.
