'!snRttl"hi <br />I. INTR0PUCT10\ <br />This is a soils and site evaluation of the proposed Fredrick <br />C. Herfurth Addition in the Citv of Orono. <br />A detailed soils map for the area of proposed development is <br />provided with this report. This map is based on information <br />contained in "Soil Survey of Hennepin County" and "Landscapes <br />of liennepin County" as well as 197S aerial photographs of the <br />area and an on-site investigation. <br />Each of the soils mapped within the proposed development area <br />is briefly described. Favorable and unfavorable development <br />characteristics arc discussed. Explanations of the soil map <br />symbols and colors are presented in Sections II and III. <br />l-t-: - :■ <br />I: <br />1/.^ iV’- .•■•'■• ■■.•i.jB <br />V. <br />This is a preliminary soils evaluation and additional engin <br />eering tests should be conducted before construction is begun. <br />The potential of the soils mapped for on-site treatment of <br />septic tank effluent is discussed. <br />II.
