V^e were surprised that this <br />was required. Since our home is less than six years old, we expeaed that a variance <br />would have been requested and approved prior to original construction (we did not build <br />the home). Apparently, the owner^uilder managed to get around the variance <br />requirement. <br />The delay caused by this recent cevelopment has created some difficulty for us We <br />planned that the construction would have begun late in September; completion was <br />anticipated before the end of December. In addition to disrupting the holidays, the delay is <br />causing problems with the financing, especially with the fluctuating interest rates. <br />We would be extremely grateful if the remainder of the process could happen as quickly as <br />possible. We respectfully request that our request be put on the City Council <br />agenda for November 22, 1993. This will enable us to lay the foundation before the start <br />of winter, and finalize the financing. <br />Thank you for your consideration. <br />Sincerely,
