Building & Zoning Administrator <br />August 13, 1993 <br />#1852 Howard Eisinger, 3245 Wayzata Boulevard <br />Conditional Use Permit - Public Hearing <br />In June of 1987, the City approved a conditional use permit to permit the filling of <br />100,000 cubic yards of fill over a former dump site of approximately 12 acres in area. The fill <br />was'to be placed at an average height of 5’. The conditional use permit expired as fill was <br />never received under the authority of the permit. In April of 1992, the City issued a second <br />conditional use permit to allow the filling of 10,000 cubic yards of till which was completed. <br />In October of 1992, the City approved a third conditional use permit allowing 20,000 cubic <br />yards of fill. The current conditional use permit involves a request for 70,000 cubic yards. The <br />fill material will come from a joint project between the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District and <br />the City of Wayzata. GL Contracting, Inc. of Medina will be in charge of the fill project. The <br />following ordinances are pertinent for this review: <br />1.Section 10.03, Subd. 19 and 20 - Conditional use permit required for filling and <br />grading activities in excess of 100 cubic yards. <br />Section 10.55, Subd. 5 (B) - 26’ setback is required for all land alteration <br />activities.
