MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />HELD JUNE 21, 1993 <br />ZONING FILE #1834 - CONT. <br />Rowlette clarified that the tax forfeit property has never been <br />assessed for sewer. <br />Mabusth concurred. <br />McCarty stated the property would be 26,000 s.f. If the proposed <br />lots and the tax forfeit lots were combined. <br />Rowlette stated if the property was assessed for sewer, obviously <br />It was considered a buildable lot. <br />Mabusth noted it is important for the applicant to close on the <br />property prior to the sale of the tax forfeit sale so she is <br />notified of the public sale. <br />Chair Schroeder questioned what will happen if the applicant Is <br />unable to purchase the additional property. <br />Mabusth stated she would then return requesting approval of setback <br />var'ances. <br />McCarty stressed the lot Is still considered a buildable lot <br />without the tax forfeit property as it was assessed for sewer. <br />Rowlette noted the lot size of the proposed lot is similar to that <br />developed In the neighborhood. <br />It was moved by Berg, seconded by Rowlette, to recommend approval <br />of Application #1834 for Mary K. McCarty, 245 Tonka Avenue, for <br />lot area and lot width variances for a substandard property.
