Bros
NURSERY a LANOSCARtNG
“(ATR 35 5TARS OF QrALITY SER\’ICE
» .-7^ •
Deceiimr 21, 19^:
• r
o <r%
- «■ w
GBlffiHAl DISCRimOl or PIJOJICT:
Ife BT0 proposing to build • water retention pond iii the lower portion of the
property. All excavated soil will be left on site and used to create beraa aa
indicated on plans. Soil will be excavated with a backhoe and trading will be done
with a»ll grading equipaent to ainiaize disturbance of surrounding area.
We believe this holding area is necessary to help alleviate flooding problcaa in
hones of 627 N. Femoale and 629 N. Femdale. Since these hones »#ere built the nain
road has been recontoured and paved allowing an excessive aaount of water to run
‘between these properties. Therefore, these properties would benefit froa the extra
holding capacity of a deeper wetland and reduce the aaount of erosion on the
properties to the west. The original intent of this area was to be drainage
easeswnt and «#e will keep it that way as well as creating a proposed wetland to
enhance wildlife and be aesthetically pleasing to all property owners.
I have talked to people at the DNR and Hennepin Co. Watershed District and they had
no probles with the proposed project. The DNR said It was not classified aa a
wetland and any improvoDent to the low area would be a plus for wildlife.
We do plan to restore the entire area back to native grass and wood land plantings.
Kerle Friesen
Landscape Designer
MF:Jk
2350 W.
