2. <br />Application <br />Model F1 Res LL sprinklers are cULus Listed in accor- <br />dance with UL 1626 for installation in accordance with <br />NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D. Sprinkler systems <br />using Model F1 Res LL sprinklers must be hydraulically <br />designed to provide at least the flow identified in the Tech- <br />nical Data tables in this bulletin. For NFPA 13 installations, <br />the flow per sprinkler must be the greater of: (1) the flow <br />listed in the applicable Technical Data table and (2) the <br />flow required to achieve a minimum design density of 0.1 <br />gpm/sq ft over the design area of the sprinkler. For cover- <br />age area dimensions less than those listed in the Technical <br />Data tables, use the minimum required flow for the next <br />larger max. coverage area listed. <br />Installation <br />Models F1 Res LL sprinklers are to be installed as shown. <br />Model F1, F2 and FP Escutcheons, illustrated herewith, are <br />the only recessed escutcheons to be used with Model F1 <br />Res LL sprinklers. Use of any other recessed escutcheon <br />will void all approvals and warranties. For installing Model <br />F1 Res LL Pendent sprinklers use only the Model W2 sprin- <br />kler Wrench; for installing Models F1 Res LL Recessed <br />Pendent, CCP & SWC sprinklers use only the Model GFR2 <br />sprinkler wrench; for installing Model F1 LL Res Recessed <br />HSW sprinklers use only the Model GFR2 Sprinkler Wrench. <br />Use of wrenches other than those specified may damage <br />these sprinklers. Install F1 Res 44 LL with a ceiling to de- <br />flector distance of 4” - 12”.
