Definition: <br />Retaining wall means a wall or similar structure designed and constructed to hold <br />back and prevent lateral movement of earth or other landscaping materials. <br />Current City Code <br />• Retaining walls shall not be placed within the Shore Setback zone. <br />Current Implementation <br />• In -Kind (nonconforming code section) replacements are permitted with a zoning <br />or building permit. <br />In -kind definition: means the replacement of a building or structure completely within the limits (location, height, width, <br />and depth) of the previous building or structure <br />• New walls and/or wall changes &expansions are not permitted. Currently, new <br />walls require variance approval. <br />
