The purpose of this action item is to award the Tonkawa-Partenwood Forcemain <br />Replacement Project. <br /> <br />2. Background. In January of 2022 Council approved the design of the Tonkawa Force Main <br />replacement project. The project was awarded on July 10, 2023 to Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br /> <br />3. Scope. <br />a. Project Scope. The project includes the replacement of 1630 feet of Sanitary Forcemain along <br />Tonkawa Road and 1500 feet of forcemain along Partenwood Road. <br />b. Change Order Scope. The change order includes the removal and replacement of the dual pump <br />manifolds wyes on both lift station 27 and lift station 29. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The change order results in a cost of $6535.00 <br />Who Work Cost Status <br />Bolton &Menk, Inc Design and <br />Engineering <br />$ 73,000.00 Not to exceed, previously <br />approved <br />Bolton &Menk, Inc Construction <br />Oversight <br />$ 10,000.00 Not to exceed <br />Bituminous Roadways <br />Inc. <br />Construction $ 738,847.00 Awarded <br />Bituminous Roadways <br />Inc. <br />Change Order 1. $6535.00 <br />Total $828,382.00 <br /> <br />5. Funding. The forcemain replacement project will be funded by a combination of the sanitary sewer <br />fund and ARPA funding. The projected 2023 year-end balance for the Sewer Fund is $1,176,080. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. I recommend approval of the change order. Both were uncovered early in <br />the project and were found to be suffering from corrosion. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve Change order #1 for the Tonkawa Forcemain Project in the amount of $6,535.00. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
