Council required that both the
proposed new residence and its deck meet the 75’ lakeshore setback, as well as 10' side setbacks
required in the LR-IC zone. Applicant had requested 0.5' side setback variances on either side,
to allow a 9.5' side setback on either side of the proposed residence. The Councilmembers at that
meeting felt there was insufficient justification for granting the side setback variances.
Note that the applicant's representative was at the September 11th meeting, how'ever. the applicant
was not present. The applicant specifically requests that Council reconsider the request for 9.5*
side setbacks on either side of the proposed residence.
Options for .Action
1.Reconfirm the findings, conclusion, order and conditions of Resolution #3602 (i.e.. denial
of side setback variance request).
Direct staff to make specific revisions to the findings, conclusion, order and conditions of
Resolution #3602 (i.e.. grant the requested side setback variance).
