'»rt- t-*r^•*>T^: <br />VILLAGE OP ORONO <br />Q <br />Regular ‘feeting of the Planning Commission, <br />May 21, 1973 <br />Planning Commission met on the above date <br />with the following members oresent: Acting <br />Chairman Searles, Gasch, Kuilberg. Guthrie, <br />Paurus, and Ryerse. Absent: Elliott, Hays, <br />Kokesu, Poisson, and Van Nest. <br />Guthrie moved, Ryerse seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 16, <br />1973, be approved. Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />The Acting Chairman announced that this was the <br />time and place for a public hearing concorning <br />the vacation of Hill Street from Parcel 2100 <br />to Tonka Avenue. The Zoning Administrator <br />presented the Notice of Public Hearing, the <br />Affidavit of Publication and the Certificate <br />of Mailing to affected property owners. <br />The Ramstads request to vacate tiill Street <br />was initated because of a need for an additional <br />10' to build a garage. The Planning Commission <br />members were in agreement that Brook Street, <br />to the north of Hill Street, would more logically <br />provide access to the property west of Baysido <br />Addition to Lake Minnetonka. <br />Ryerse moved, Kuilberg seconded, t'lat Hill <br />Street, between Parcel 2100 and Tonka Avenue, <br />be vacated, with the Village retaining a 20' <br />utility easement down the center of the street. <br />Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). , <br />Gasch expressed a concern about the applicability <br />of tJie PRU ordinance to this particular <br />situation. Gasch also felt that other people <br />In similar situations had not been informed <br />ox this alternative. <br />Paurus moved, Guthrie seconded, thot the Coiiry <br />PRD application be approved with an easement <br />to che east as was desired by Orr-Scliolen- <br />Mayeron, as well as a utility casement to the <br />west. Motion, Ayes (SJ - Nays (0). Gasch <br />abs tained. <br />..je zoning Administrator reminded the Planning <br />Commission that the area Mr. Swoetser wanted <br />to dredge was not shown on the U.S. geodetic map. <br />Kuilberg questioned Mr, Sweetsor about his <br />letter where he states the depth of the pond <br />will be S* plus.
