NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 277 <br />(WESTONKA) <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special election has been called and will be held in and for <br />Independent School Distnct No. 277 (Westonka), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday. November 7. <br />1995. for the purpose of voting on the following question; <br />THE BOARD OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 277 (WESTONKA). HAS <br />PROPOSED TO INCREASE ITS GENERAL EDUCATION REVENUE BY S338 PER <br />ACTUAL PUPIL UNIT. THE ADDITIONAL REVENUE WILL BE USED TO FINANCE <br />SCHOOL OPERATIONS AND THE PROPERTY TAX PORTION THEREOF WILL <br />REQUIRE AN ESTIMATED REFERENDUM TAX RATE OF APPROXIMATELY .1058% <br />OF THE REFERENDUM MARKET VALUE OF ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE <br />DISTRICT FOR TAXES PAYABLE IN 1996, THE FIRST YEAR IT IS TO BE LEVIED. <br />THE REFERENDUM REVENUE AUTHORIZATION WOULD BE APPLICABLE FOR <br />TEN YEARS UNLESS OTHERWISE REVOKED OR REDUCED AS PROVIDED BY <br />LAW. <br />YES <br />SHALL THE INCREASE IN THE REVENUE PROPOSED BY THE <br />BOARD OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 277 <br />BE APPROVED? <br />NO <br />BY VOTING “YES” ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION. YOU ARE VOTING FOR <br />A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE. <br />Passage of this referendum will result in an increase in your property taxes. <br />The property tax portion of the revenue authonzed will require an estimated referendum <br />tax rate of approximately .1058% of the referendum market value of all classes of taxable <br />property within the district.
