LAND USE <br />JUNE, 1980 <br />fAND USE GOALS AND POLICIES <br />Orono'« Land Use Plan is based upon the following goals <br />and policies which in turn have been actively developed <br />by Orono residents over the last 25 years. <br />1 AND USE GOALS <br />1. TO REINFORCE ORONO*S ENVIRON.-^IENTAL PROTECTION COMMITMENT. <br />2. <br />3. <br />TO MAINTAIN THE HISTORIC IDENTITY AND CHARACTER OF THE SEPARATE <br />URBAN AND RURAL NEIGHBORHOODS. <br />ACTIVITIES. <br />4. TO PROTECT NEIGHBORHOODS FROM ENCROACHMENT OF INCOMPATIBLE LAND USES. <br />5.
