L <br />iH <br />N <br />D <br />8 <br />C <br />-.V- <br />C;iy OfOrcno July 27. 1905 <br />We are requesting a permit to build two boulder walls with-in 75' of the lake shore <br />at 1035 Tonkawa Road The present hill slopes to the lake store in a 2-to-1 <br />slope We would like to clear the out of control undergrowth on the hill that is <br />extremely unsightly and also a hazard to the home owners children because it <br />contains an immense amount of poison isy The hill side will then be replanted in a <br />very naturalistic way using large quantities of five plants placed in sw eeps crossing <br />IjU* V H I lC up the hill Being that there is already some erosion we are concerned that in <br />* between the process of the clearing and establishing of the new plants there may be <br />more erosion. To help elevate this pre-existing problem we would like to <br />construa a boulder wall at the base of the hill The wall will be placed eight feet <br />back fixjm the west end of the bottom landing of the steps This point is also 20* <br />from the water level of 929 06' as it was on July 26, 1995 The cieated flair at the <br />base of the hill to the top of the boulders will help slow the runott into the lake, <br />thus lessening the effects of erosion The base wall will extend maximum of 40' <br />to the north of the steps and 24* to the south Neither wall will exceed 3 5' in <br />heiiiht.Custom Design <br />& Installation <br />(612)473-6649 <br />We propose to build the second wall at the top of the hill to slow the slide of the <br />lawn down the hill This wall will be 34’ toward the lake shore from the edge of <br />the patio To the north of the steps shall be a straight wall along the existing edge <br />of the hill The south side will angle back towards the comer of the house This <br />wall will extend 32' to the north from the steps and continue all the way back past <br />the 75' set back on the south side ty ing in with two walls to be constructed on the <br />southwest side of the house This wall will nev er exceed 3 5' and normally run <br />between 2.0' and 3 O' <br />The actual construction of these boulder w alls is to be done through Landscape <br />Junction Inc. by Final Grade Inc A MCWD permit will also be applied for this <br />projea <br />If you have any tunher questions please feel free to call me at any time. <br />Office 473-6649 Mobile 720-6691 Home 473-8988 <br />P.O.
