You will be receiving an invitation to the second forum <br />shortly. Tlie forums arc s|x^nsorcd by area legislators :uk 1 are interxled to bring together city, county. <br />sc Ikx )1 district and state officials for tJie purpose of discussing opportunities to provide more effective <br />and efficient services to the citizens we serve. <br />Tlie September ’ ih forum will bring together county, city and school district officials who represent <br />and serve citizens in Decpltaven. Excelsior. Golden Valley, Greenwood. Long Lake, Loretto, Maple <br />Plain. Medicine Lake. Medina, Minnetonka. Orono, Plymouth, Wayzata and Woodland, <br />A second forum on the evening of Wednesday, October 18, 1995, will be sponsored by a second <br />group of legislators and will bring together county, city, and school disfict otficials who represent <br />and serve citizens in Clianhassen, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Edina, Excelsior. Hopkins, Minuctonka, <br />Minnetonka Beach, Saint Louis Park. Shorcwood. Tonka Bay, and Woodland. <br />Because legislative disuict boundaries are rarely coterminous with city and school district boundaries, <br />the overlap in the areas covered by the two forums was unavoidable. <br />While the agenda for both forums will be the same, please feel free to attend both forums if you so <br />desire. Ideally. I hope all cities and school districts will be well represented at both forur i. <br />Therefore, you may want to discuss llicse two forums w ith your colleagues and make certain that <br />several individuals from your unit of government will be at each forum. <br />If you have questions or concerns about these forums, please do not hesitate to contact me.
