Rpt. <br />Xtem Description: 1996 Ford Crown Victoria letter of intent to purchase <br />Exhibits: <br />I am re<{uesting approval to send a letter to Superior Ford with the <br />intent to purchase two 1996 Ford Crown Victoria's. These two 1996 squad cars <br />are budgeted for and are to replace two old car's with 100,000 mile on them. <br />This request is due to the restrictive number of vehicle's being built, <br />and the possibility of a cost increase. <br />Chevrolet Motor Company is no longer manufacturing full size car's and <br />based on information received. Ford Motor Company, the last manufacturer of <br />rear wheel drive cars, will be unable to meet the increased demand for squad <br />car's and the cost that goes with supply and demand. <br />COUMCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approval of letter to be sent <br />foPM/councI l.act
