R23W There are plans for residential deselopment at the location referenced above The site is located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection ot Watertown Road and Old Crystal Bay Road A wetland is located in the southwest corner of propert\ The rest of the property is high and did not have wetland characteristics The overland drainage pattern is trom the east side ot the property to the Southwest corner of the property The plans for the dev elopment w ill avoid the wetland .A wetland delineation according to the requirements ot the .MN l‘>9l Wetland Conservation Act (W'CA) was required to identifv the existing wetland edge within the property of the proposed development Arlig Environmental, Inc was retained to delineate the wetland on the proposed development site ' Patricia .Aiiig. an environmental engineer trained to complete wetland delineations, placed stakes at the edge of the wetland The field work was completed on July 5 1995 There was heavy ram during most of the 24 hour period preceding the field investigation The temperature was approximatelv F Water levels were assumed to be above nornuil The survevors located the stakes later that week Wetlands were identified and delineated using the guidelines of the Fldlraj . Lc.sur. and / t'Svucr which are not considered hvdric soils The .MN DNR map for Hennepin County shows no protected waters at this site The N\V 1 map also shows no designated wetlands on the site One wetland was found and delineated at the site Field investiuation began by observing the vegetation and drainage patterns and determining the approximate'edge of the property The preliminary wetland edge was determined based on veeetation and evidence of standing water Soils vveie tested by digging holes to a depth of at least 18" using a narrow biaded shovel at several locations around the perimeter and at points AI
