MN 55356 <br />Dear Mayor Callahan and Council Members: <br />Senior Community Services is requesting $13,124 from <br />the City of Orono to support the operation of programs <br />serving the local frail and elderly population for the <br />1996 calendar year. This is a 4% cost-of-living increase <br />over the City ’s current level of support. The request is <br />divided among three seperate programs as follows: <br />1. Senior Outreach Program <br />2. Tamarak (Long Lake) Senior Center <br />3. Westonka Senior Center <br />$5,704 <br />2,360 <br />5,060 <br />We have very much appreciated the City of Orono's <br />support of senior programs. We look forward to <br />continuing the relationship of cooperation including local <br />church congregations (St. George's, Calvin Presbyterian <br />and Trinity Lutheran), Westonka Rides. Westonka Seniors <br />Inc., Westonka Community Services , local businesses, <br />individuals and cities in order to provide the best <br />services possible to area seniors. As in past years we <br />also will be raising funds from the United Way, civic <br />organizations, businesses and private individuals to <br />support the programs. <br />Sincerely, <br />ijamin F.
