Deflniticns <br />For the p urposos of this document, the following tenns shall have the meanings given <br />in this paiagraplL <br />2.1. ’•Jmprovemenis" refe« coUec-ively to the foUou,*ing stormwater treatment <br />systems: chemi-tal treatment, sediraentatioa basir.s. detsnticn/retention of runoff, stormwater <br />dl\'ersions, restoration of wet detention pondAvctland areas, and construction of wet detention <br />ponds/wetland tieatment systems. <br />2.2 "Idonitoring Plan’’ shall mean the water qualiry monitoring plan developed to <br />identify the .specific sampling procedures, analytic methods, detection limits, quality assurance <br />and quality control procedures in order to facilitate the accurate measurement of baseline data <br />and any changes in water quality throughout lh.e Long Lake subwatershed for the duration of <br />this project <br />3. General Responsi bilities of Parties <br />3.1. MCWD <br />The MOVD shall be responsible for the design, construction, and technical <br />maintenance and operation of Ihe stormwater treatment systems for the purpose of reducing <br />internal and external phosphorous loading into Long Lake. These sy.slems shall consist of <br />sedimentation b2sins, deteniion/retention of runoff, stormwater diversions, restoration of wet <br />detention pond/v^etland areas, construction of wet rietemion ponds/weiland treatment systems <br />specifically designed to remove nutrients from stormwater runoff, ,md chemical treatment in <br />Long Lake to reduce internal cyclin® of nutrients and fisheries management in conjunction <br />with the DNR. <br />JJ7/22C89JV7 8/.V95 i
