Please state yovir reasons for wanting to serve on the Planning <br />Commission: <br />I have lived in Orono for eight years. Dur^g that tme I <br />have seen many changes such as the relocation of city hall <br />the completion of highway 394. Since its completion there has <br />been increased pressure to develop the few remaining open paces <br />we have left in Orono. Any future dpelopm^p <br />subdivisions, lakeshore residences, commercial pppertps, 3^°ad <br />Lprovements and expansions) should be carefully evaluated to <br />orotect and preserve the community as we know it. .protect Architect with a background xn planning pd <br />architectural design, I believe I have the knowledge ^d skills <br />necessary to assist the Commission in carrying forth its <br />functions. <br />yjiat is yovir view of the role of the Commission. <br />It is the role of the Planning Commission to carefully ^d <br />impartially review and evaluate all matters which warrant its <br />consideration. Specifically, the Commission should insure that <br />each proposal complies with various city ordinances, policies, <br />and guidelines. It serves as a vital link bpween ^e citizen^ <br />and the Council, and as such, must insure that the items brought <br />before it receive a competent and thorough review. <br />I understand that this appointment may be discussed at a public <br />Date
