MINUTES OF REC.ULVR MEETING OF APRIL 27, 1 ^^5 <br />MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF MANAGERS <br />WAY 8 1995 <br />r <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Managers of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District <br />was called to order by Manager Love at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 1995 at the <br />Minnetonka City Hall, Minnetonka, Minnesota. <br />Managers present: Vice President Love, Treasurer Tom LaBounty, and Managers <br />Pamela Blixt, Monica Gross and Martha Hartfiel. <br />iManagers absent: President Tom Maple and Secretary John Thomas. <br />Also present:Counsel Louis Smith and Prasanta Reddy. District Engineer Mike <br />Panzer and Assistant District Engineer Andrew Syverson. District <br />Director Gene Strommen and Assistant Director Suzanne Weedman. <br />Monica Gross was sworn in as new manager by Smith. <br />Additions and corrections to the agenda: Item 11 (F) correct permit applicant’s name to <br />John Barlow; add Grass Lake Citizen’s Advisory Committee Report as item 15 (E); add <br />Coordinating Board Meeting under the Chain of Lakes Report; add the items City of <br />Greenwood, Halley Homes I, Landview Undscaping and Pearce Properties under the <br />Executive Session’s Report. <br />The agenda was approved as amended on a motion made by Hartfiel and seconded by La <br />Bounty. Upon vote, the motion passed unanimously. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Citizens not on the agenda were invited to address the Board. Mark Westen, consultant for <br />Cargill, Inc. stepped forward to discuss concerns of Permit 95-76 scheduled to be table. <br />Ix)vc explained this time period was intended for citizens currently not on the agenda. Mr. <br />Westen was invited to voice his concerns during the hearing of permit applications. <br />GLEASON CREEK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE II STATUS REPORT <br />LaBounty introduced and reviewed the landscaping display plan presented by Damon <br />Farber Associates. The final quote for design work, plant materials and construction came <br />in just under $8,000, the preliminary estimate approved at $15,000. Blixt moved to accept <br />the bid not to exceed $8,000 and proceed with the landscaping plan. Motion was seconded <br />by Gross. Upon vote, motion carried. <br />The indemnification agreement for the surrounding landowners was presented by Ready. <br />The managers proposed no changes. The document with a cover letter will be sent to the <br />five affected landowners for review and signatures.
