WEST HENNEPIN RECYCUNG COMMISSION
Greenfieid-lnaependence-Long Lake-Loretto-^4aple Plain-Medina-Orcno
65 Stubbs Bay Road Maple Plain, MN 55359 476>O012
¥
I '
18 April 1995 APR 1 9 i995
To the Orono City Council:
It was a pleasure to attend your Council meeting on April 10. I thank you for the
opponunity to present WHRC’s report on the past six years and our plan for the next five
years.
I am enclosing the March 1995 tonnage and participation report for your information.
The participation percentage in Orono has increased considerably. It should be noted,
however, that a higher household count was used in 1994. Curbside abatement has
increased more than 1% from last March. Estimated total trash tons have not changed, so
this represents a true increase.
Gabriel Jabbour had a question about the safe disposal of fluorescent bulbs which I did not
spend much time answering. Enclosed is some information on fluorescent bulbs for
Gabriel.
Again, thank you for the opportunity to report to your Council.
Very truly yours,A
Amelia Kroeger
Recycling Coordinator
enclosures - two
Funded by WHRC with 80% fu-Jinj by Hennepin County Printed on Recycled Riper
