Date: <br />To; <br />From; <br />Subject: <br />April 18, 1995 <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator . <br />Steve Sullivan, Chief of Police^ <br />Tuition Reimbursement Fund <br />In January, 1994, the Loni^ Lake State Bank offered to donate <br />$1500 to the Orono Police Department for the purpose of <br />reimbursing the tuition for college courses taken by officers on <br />their own time. The City Council accepted this donation at the <br />January 1C, 1994 meeting. <br />I have been informed by Mr. Mike Byrne, President of the <br />bank, that their board of directors has allocated an additional <br />$1500 for this ongoing tuition reimbursement program. <br />You previously advised me that additional donations to <br />continue funding of this program would be acceptable and <br />appropriate. This memo is to advise you that the bank does <br />intend to continue their support with a second $1500 donation.
