My wife and I have lived in <br />Shorewood since November of 1961 and have used Old <br />Beach Road until the closing of it. First, I will <br />have to give you some back ground to my opinion. I <br />was on the City Council of Shorewood for ten years, <br />and in that time we voted to close Christmas Lake <br />Road. We set off a storm of complaints from people <br />in other cities, but we still closed the road for <br />our citizens whom we represented at that time. Today <br />the road is still closed, and everbody gets where they <br />need to go. I feel that the two to three minutes it <br />takes to go to Navarre is of no big deal. I think <br />the people living on Old Beach Road are better off <br />without the traffic on their street, which I think <br />is a neighborhood street. <br />So stick by your vote and keep it closed for the <br />people you represent in your city, and do not worry <br />about the rest of us.
