MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COM\IISSION WORK SESSION <br />ON DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTERS HELD ON FEBRUARY 21, 1995 <br />Nolan asked at what step in the process would specific criteria be assembled. Mabusth noted <br />that an amendment would likely be presented to Planning Commission for public hearing at its <br />April meetin£. Valerie Hessburg noted that their financing lias been extended to late summer, <br />so timing is not as cri*ical an issue. At the request of Nolan, Mabusth and Schroeder clarified <br />the differences between a public information meeting and a public hearing. Mabusth noted that <br />approximately 250 residents in the Navarre area were mailed individual notices of the March 7th <br />meeting, and it will be published twice in the local newspaper. It was noted that at the public <br />information meeting there should be short presentations by the applicant and City staff, with the <br />majority of time spent hearing public comments and resiwnding to their questions. Informational <br />materials will be provided to the members of the public present. <br />The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:25 p.m. <br />Charles J. Schroeder, Chairman
