Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 55323
RE: Indian Creek (Now Crystal Creek) Subdivision
Dear Jeanne:
I am writing to ask that you place an item on the agenda of
the next Council meeting. Under Section 11.10, subd. 15, I
request an extension of the effective period of the preliminary
plat approval for one year.
In April of 1991, Council granted a preliminary approval of
my plat, file number 1457. However, the proposed Highway 12
corridor froze the project. The southern corridor traverses the
heart of the property. We discussed what action I could take to
keep the approvals active and current. We agreed that I should
file a request for an extension of the effective period of the
approval.
I appeared before the Council in 1992, and the issue was
thoroughly reviewed. The Council acknowledged that the Highway
12 corridor study had effectively frozen my property for
development purposes. My request for the extension was granted,
and it was noted that more than a one-year extension might be
necessary. Extensions were granted in 1993 and 1994 as
because there had been no resolution of the highway issue and the
picture was as cloudy as ever. Each year, we noted that even
another one-year extension will likely prove inadequate. That
has proven to be the case.
MinneapoIi5 Sain! Paul Lo< Ang»‘li»A
