Subd. 3 u • .i,^ <br />Definition 2 Bluff - Topographic fearure such as a hill, cliff or embankment having the <br />following characteristics (an area with an average slope of less than 18% over a distance <br />of 50' or more shall not be considered part of the bluff)- <br />A. Part or all of the feamre is located in a shoreland area; <br />B. The slope rises at least 25’ above the ordinary high water level of the <br />water tody; <br />The grade of the slope from the toe of the bluff to a point 25’ or more <br />above the ordinary high water level averages 30% or greater, and <br />The slope must drain toward the water body. <br />C. <br />D. <br />Toe of the bluff means the lower point of a 50’ segment with an average slope exceeding <br />18%. Top of tne bluff means the higher point of a 50’ segment with an average slope <br />exceeding 18%. <br />Definition 3 Bluff Impact Zone - A bluff of land located within 20 from the top ot a <br />bluff. <br />Definition 26 Steep Slope - Lands having average slopes of 18% or greater as measured <br />over horizontal distances of 50’ or more, that are not bluffs. <br />Section 10.56.
