Gaffron, Assistant Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />Date:November 17, 1995 <br />Subject:#2085 Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, 3390 North Shore Drive - <br />Maxwell Bay Public Water Access - Commercial Site Plan Review • Public <br />Information Meeting <br />Zoning District: B-2, Lakeshore Business District <br />Application: Request for Cit>/public comment and input regarding the proposed Maxwell Bay <br />public water access. <br />NOTE:While the DNR technically is exempt from complying with local zoning ordinances, <br />the DNR has involved the City and the public in a review process that has taken <br />place over the last three years. This public information meeting and plan review <br />is being held at the request of the DNR to allow the public the opportunity to <br />review the plan and provide input on the access construction and landscaping plans <br />prior to City final approval. <br />The de% elopment of this public water access plan was based upon discussions the <br />MnDNR has had with area residents, the Orono Lake Use Committee and City stalf. <br />The DNR has incorporated numerous design elements and changes into the plan <br />which were a direct result of these meetings.
