Date; <br />To; <br />From; <br />Subject: <br />February 21, 1995 <br />Our department hcs received a donation of $399*00 to <br />purchase a body armor vest for one of our police officers. As I <br />mentioned in our previous disc»ission/ the donation comes from Gib <br />Reed, the father of Dan Reed who passed away a few weeks ago. <br />Dan had been a member of our j^K'lice reserve unit several <br />years ago and continued to know our officers in his capacity of a <br />Long Lake volunteer fire fighter. Gib just wanted to do <br />something in return for the years of friendship our officers had <br />shared with his son. <br />The vest was issued to Officer Mike Carlson. I have <br />attached a copy of my "Thank You" letter to Mr. Reed.
