The <br />terms of Lili McMillan, James White and Alexander Vongries on the Park Commission expired <br />as of 12/31/94. As you are aware Mr. Vongries has chosen not to serve an additional term. <br />Lili McMillan and James White have each indicated an interest in continuing to serve on the <br />commission. <br />The terms of Charles Nolan. Jr. and Sandra Smith on the Planning Commission will expire as <br />of March 31, 1995. Each have indicated an interest in continuing to serve on the Planning <br />Commission. Charles Nolan, Jr. has notified the city that he will be moving out of Ihe city in <br />early summer, but is interested in continuing to serve on the commission until that time. <br />The next step in the reappointment process is for the Council to determine the eligibility of those <br />commission members listed above to serve an additional term. The Council may wish lO wait <br />until the whole Council is present to make this determination. <br />Due to the resignation of Alexander Vongries and the upcoming resignation of Charles NoIm, <br />Jr.. staff reconunends advertising for both the Park Commission vacancy and the future Planning <br />Commission vacancy. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to authorize staff to advertise for the vacancies on the Park Commission and Planning <br />Commission.
