The sides of the pond were to be graduated until it reached its maximum depth of 8 <br />at the middle They saw no problems with any safety issues if the pond bad graduated banks <br />in the proposed location as City has ordinances that approve residential pools without fencmg. <br />Planning Coniniission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission unanimously approved the application, subject to excavation <br />being amended so that a Type 3 wetland was installed in place of the proposed decorative pond, <br />and provided the following guidelines to applicant: <br />1.No boulders were to be used around the disturbed area. <br />2.Applicant was to provide a plan for landscaping with appropriate aquatic <br />vegetation to be reviewed by staff and the Engineer. <br />3.All disturbed areas were to be seeded by the spring of 1995. <br />4.Banks were to be graded with graduated slopes not to exceed 3:1 to a maximum <br />depth of 7-8’ at the middle. <br />5.All fill not to be used with the regrading of wetland/banks is to be removed from <br />site. <br />6.Excavations are limited to the movement of 600 cubic yards. <br />The enclosed approval resolution has been drafted per the Planning Commission ’s <br />unanimous recommendation. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED; <br />To adopt or amend the enclosed approval resolution. <br />I <br />i
