Subd. 2. Hours of Operation. No person shall operate a personal watercraft <br />between 6:00 p.m. for sunset, whichever occurs earlier) and 8:00 a.m. the following day. <br />Subd. 3. Wake Jumping. No person operating a personal watercraft shall jump <br />the wake of another watercraft within 100 feet of that watercraft. This includes the wake of <br />another personal watercraft. <br />Subd 4. Racing Restriction. No persons shall race their personal watercraft <br />unless they have received a race permit through approvals by the cities of Long Lake and Orono <br />and the Hennepin County Water Patrol. <br />Section 5. Noise. <br />No person shall operate any watercraft or boat on the Lake which is capable o ‘ <br />exceeding a noise level on the A scale measured at a distance of 50 feet or more from the <br />watercraft or boat of: <br />(a) 84 decibels in the case of marine engines or motorboats manufactured <br />before January 1, 1982; or <br />(b) 82 decibels in the case of marine engines or motorboats manufactured on <br />or after January 1, 1982; or <br />(c) 82 decibels in the case of personal watercraft water jet pump engines <br />manufactured after January 1, 1992. <br />Section 6. Enforcement. <br />The enforcement of this ordinance shall be the primary responsibility of the peace <br />officers of the Hennepin County Sheriffs Department or the Orono Police Department. Other <br />licensed peace officers including Conservation Officers of the Department of Natural Resources <br />of the State of Minnesota, and volunteer members of the Hennepin County Water Patrol are also <br /><1 <br />i
