SECTION 3. Resmc::on5 nn rh.g GnntLn^^ nf PrgHmman- Subdivision Approval <br />and Building Permits. No preiirriiiiary subdivision approval shnll be given by the Council for <br />any subdivision or building pemut for ■^r’hich application has not already been made for private <br />driveways to serve three or more residences. <br />SECTION 4. Duration. This Ordinance snail e.xpire on September 11, 1995, <br />without Council action, or it rnay be renealed earlier if the Council determines that the requisite <br />studies have been completed and adopted and the appropriate evaluation and action, including <br />any necessary revisions of the zoning code, have been iinaiized. The duration of this Ordinance <br />may be e.xiended by adoption of a subsequent Ordinance tor a total or not more than 18 <br />additional months. <br />SECTION 5. Variances. The Council may grant a variance to this Ordinance <br />if the Council finds aner careful review of ail the tacts that a proposal is not contrary to the <br />intent of the comprehensive ccmmumr/ management plan, that it is compatible with the zoning <br />and official control amendments being considered by die Cit\', that it does not adversely impact <br />the health, safer/ or welfare of the citizens and that it otherwise meets the requirements of the <br />Orono Citv Code and sute law. <br />SECTION 6. Separability. Everv' section, provision, or pan of this Ordinance <br />is declared separable from every other section, provision, or pan; and if any section, provision, <br />or pan thereof or action taken hereunder shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any other <br />section, provision, or pan. <br />SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall be published in the THE PIONEER and THE <br />L.\KER and shall be effective irrmediateiy. <br />July <br />.Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono on the 24th day of <br />. 1995, cy a vote of ^ ayes and nays. <br />Edward J.
