The street yard of the back lot shaU be adequately screened by <br />fencing or vegetation at the discretion of the City, so as to <br />eliminate intrusion of vehicle headlights into the side or rear yards <br />of adjacent lots. <br />E. <br />Standards for accessory stnictures. Accessory strucmres shaU adhere to <br />airrequiretneats of the zoning code. w.d. the foUowmg addmonal <br />requirements: <br />1.Accessorv structures within a back lot shall be allowed no closer <br />lhan 10 ’ to a neighboring propert>'’s side or rear yard. <br />Acc-ssory strucmres shall not be allowed within the required street <br />yard^’of a back lot nor within the required rear yard of a front lot <br />'which abuts the street yard of a back lot. <br />No accessory structure shall be allowed within an access outlot. <br />SECTION 3. Orono Municipal Code Section 11.31. Subdivision 5 is hereby <br />deleted and the following language substituted in its place: <br />Subdivision 5. Double fronuge lots, access to lots, and front/back lot divisions. <br />A.Double fronuge lots. Double fronuge and reversed <br />avoided except where necessaiy to provide separauon “f <br />development from traffic aiterials or to overcome specific disadvanuges <br />of topography and orientation. <br />B.Access from any anerial roadway. Lots shall not, in general, deri^ <br />access exclusively from an anerial roadway. Where <br />any anerial roadway may be necessary for f <br />Council may require that such lots be served by a nossible, <br />in order to limit possible traffic hazard on such roadwa . . . ^ <br />driveways shall be designed and ananged so as to avoid requinng vehicles <br />to back into traffic on any anerial roadway. <br />C. <br />/- <br />Front/back lot subdivisions. "Flag lots" and <br />defined in this Chapter (see definition of "Lot-Back ) sh^ ^ <br />Front/back lot divisions shaU be allowed oiUy m <br />creation of an ouUot to provide access from the back ^ P f^r <br />private road.
