The stairs are limited to a 4 ’ width with landings at 4 x 8 . <br />Issues for Consideration , <br />As it is difficult for both the landscape contractor and City Enguieer to present a final <br />Dlan for Ihe restoration of the disturbed areas, members may have problems presenting a <br />recommendation of approval. Your approval can set forth limitations on the testo.-auon plan <br />such as: <br />1. No further expansions in retaining walls, only repairs to ensure stabUization of <br />bank. <br />If filling is proposed, applicant’s contractor shall provide an erosion control plan <br />for Engineer ’s review. <br />3.Hardcover will be reduced in the 0-75’ atea as only the stair structure ^ <br />retaining walls will remain. Will additional plamings be required to buffet <br />existing 3’ retaining walls within lakeshore yard? <br />4 Other issues raised by the Planning Commission. <br />** To either denv, approve or amend applicant’s plan for the restoration of the lakeshofe <br />yard. Any recommendation of approval must include the following conditions: <br />1.Applicant to apply for a demolition permit for the removal of the boathouse. It <br />shall be applicant’s responsibility to immediately contact the City EngmcCT to <br />inspect the area to determine most practical method for stobilizaiion of lakeshore <br />banks and ground cover. <br />2.Any filling within the lakeshore yard shall be limited to those filling activities <br />needed to provide more gentle, flatter slopes within the area of the boath^. <br />No other areas in the lakeshore yard will be filled for tlw purpose of providmg <br />flaner landscape areas. Filling in those areas will be limited to the necessary <br />ground cover to provide consistent/suitable ground cover. <br />3.Applicant may wish to place gravel or wood chips in restored area once occupied <br />by boathouse. No plastic underliner or geo-technic fabric will be allowed beneath <br />the surface of either the rock or wood chip fill.
