Hockey Boosters, Inc <br />Board of Director's Vfeeting <br />Page 2 <br />MU£L£J1 <br />This corporation shall be organized and operated exclusively for charitable <br />and educational purposes The general purposes of this corporation shall be to <br />promote, sponsor, de\elop, provide facilities for, and conduct a supervised <br />program of ice hockey training and competition for boys and girls in the Orono <br />School Distriet thereby aiding them in their physical and mental development and <br />making them better citizens and sportsmen <br />ARTICLE X <br />The government of this corporation shall be vested in a Board of Directors, <br />who shall be members of this corporation, and such officers and committees as the <br />said Board of Directors may appoint in conformity with the Articles and By-Laws <br />of this corporation The Board of Directors shall consist of no more than twenty <br />(20> ten <IO) members who shall be nominated and elected in the manner <br />prescribed in the By-Laws. <br />ARTICLE Xn <br />These Articles of Incorporation may be amended by a majority vote of the <br />meeting call^ for that purpose, provided that such proposed amendments shall be <br />plainly stated in the call for the meeting at which they are to be considered. <br />Pete Sawicki, George Stickney and Jack Neveaux will provide a slate of Committee Chairs <br />and other openings to the Board for the May meeting. <br />Ann Fleming, the Treasurer, gave her report which was approved and is attached to these <br />minutes. A discussion was held on what to do with the cash surplus from the past fiscal year. <br />A vote on the cash surplus was tabled for the next meeting. <br />Bess Bouley gave her report on the Hockey Festival. Volunteerism and the need for new <br />cash boxes were discussed. It was generally decided that blanket and hat sales would best be <br />done at registration and not at the Hockey Festival. The net income from the Hockey Festival <br />was $12,209.78 minus expenses of $5,903.45 for a profit of $6,306.33 (a copy of Bess Bouley ’s <br />report is attached to the minutes). <br />Mary Lou Lutz provided a report from MGWHA, and will be going to the next meeting. <br />Tom Hitch, the Equipment Manager, recommended that the Hockey Boosters keep <br />providing breezers at least for the upcoming season. <br />■ —t i.t.- ..A-'i -I -
