MINUTES OF THE FLAMMING COMMISSION MEETING NOVEMBER 20, 1989 <br />ZONING PILE tl470-PARTEM CONTINUED <br />proposed plantings be placed below the existing water lines, <br />which will be approximately 6', rather than the 4' as Indicated. <br />The joists on the planking should be staggered. Mabusth said <br />that the City Engineer also called to the attention of the <br />applicant the question of where the spoils would be disposed. <br />Mr. Uphoff advised that the spoils would be placed off site. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Planning Commissioner Hanson, seconded by <br />Planning Commissioner Bellows, to recommend approval o^ the <br />conditional use permit, subject to the observations of the City <br />Engineer and suoject to approval of issuance of permits by both <br />MCWD and DNR and the applicant obtaining a building permit. <br />Motion, Ayes*4, Nays»0, Motion passed. <br />#1472 DAVE CARLSON <br />1960 SBORBLINB DRIVE <br />COHDITICEAL OSE PERMIT <br />PUBLIC HEARING 9:45 P.M. TO 10:00 P.H. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />Mr. Dave Carlson was present for the review of this <br />conditional use permit application. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth provided a history of the <br />previous uses of this property and the present application for a <br />fishing boat sales operation. Mabusth said that the applicant <br />does not intend to store the fishing boats outside. <br />Chairman Kelley asked if the landscaping requirements that <br />were part of the approval of the previous application for this <br />property would now be completed? <br />Mr. Carlson indicated that the work would be done. <br />Mabusth notrd that Mr. Carlson has been the manager of the <br />Stillwater Marina for 5 years. <br />Kelley asked Mr. Carlson if he intended to tie the boat <br />sales business in with the Smith Bay Marina across County Road <br />15? <br />Mr. Carlson said that was a possibility. <br />Kelley asked whether he anticipated any problems with <br />pedestrians crossing from one business to the other? <br />Mr. Carlson said that he did not believe that would be a <br />problem because the marina will rent sail boats and his business <br />involves the sale of fishing boats.
