TO 9x58 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />Mrs. Bonander explained that she wished to replace her deck <br />and would require an average setback variance and hardcover <br />variance to do so. <br />Ms. Patricia Gonion, 3186 North Shore Drive, stated that the <br />existing deck is deteriorating and is quite an eyesore. She was <br />in favor of Mrs. Bonander*s plan to replace the existing deck. <br />There were no further comments from the public regarding <br />this matter and the public hearing was closed. <br />was moved by Planning Commissioner Johnson, seconded by <br />Chairman Kelley, to recommend approval of the decrease in <br />hardcover to 35.16% in the 75-250’ setback area and the average <br />lakeshore setback variance. TO 10x00 P.N. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificat <br />duly noted. <br />of Mailing were <br />Mr. Alan Wisdorf, a representative for the Big Island Board <br />of Governors was present. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth explained that the Planning <br />Commission would be reviewing a request for a conditional use <br />permit for 30 overnight camping sites. Fifteen acres has been <br />set aside for this purpose. The maintenance crew will be <br />responsible for maintaining low weeds and underbrush within 100' <br />radius of the entire camp site. The City does not have any <br />information regarding the existing septic facilities and will be <br />conducting regular inspections this summer to evaluate them. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed.
