Section 10.24, Subd. 5(B): 35’ front street setback required. <br />Discussion <br />In 1990 the Wroblewskis were granted a hardcover variance to construct a 4'x23’ concrete and block <br />expansion of the 6'x23’ porch area at the front of the house. At that time, applicants did not plan to <br />construct a roof, walls or railing for the expansion area and due to the lack of walls or roof it was <br />considered as not encroaching the required front yard setback of 35', even though it is approximately <br />33' from the street lot line. <br />Applicants are now proposing to enclose the porch and expansion area by extending the roof line and <br />adding screen walls.
