Staff ensure a complete application prior to moving to next step in the <br />review process. <br />(Items 1 through 3 can add one day to two weeks to the application <br />process.) <br />5. Continuation of the application by the Planning Commission. <br />(This adds four weeks to the application review process.) <br />D. Causes of Continuation bv the Planning Commission <br />The major potential cause of delay in the planning application review process is <br />continuation of the application by the Planning Commission. The main causes of <br />continuation of a planning application by the Planning Commission are as follows: <br />1. Incomplete information regarding the application. <br />2. Significant issues regarding the application and proposal remaining <br />unresolved. <br />3. New questions needing to be answered. <br />New information requested. <br />5.Planning Commission requests the applicant to revise the proposal to <br />address concerns. <br />E. Current Time Frame/Chronoloev of the Planning Application Review Process <br />1.The minimum time period from the receipt of the pla nning application to <br />the Planning Commission meeting is 22 calendar days. The hearing <br />notices are faxed to the city’s official newspaper on the Tuesday following <br />the Friday application deadline. For those applications received on the <br />deadline day, staff has two working days to review the application for the <br />following: <br />1.) To ensure the application is complete. <br />2.)
