IT-' <br />SBC. 10.40. B-1 RETAIL SALES BUSINESS DISTRICT.3 S 10.40 <br />Subd. 1. Purpose. The "B-1" Retail Sales Business is <br />intended to provide a district for businesses that supply <br />commodities or perform a service primarily for residents in the <br />surrounding neighborhood. The district may adjoin residential <br />districts or other business districts which "nre subject to more <br />restrictive controls. The district shall have immediate access to <br />adequate highways and public sanitary sewer. <br />Subd. 2. Application. All applications for a building <br />permit in any "B-1" Retail Sales Business District shall be <br />reviewed by the Council and may be referred to the Planning <br />Ccmmlssion for review. <br />Subd. 3. Permitted Uses. Within any "B-1" Retail Sales <br />Business District, no structure or land shall be used except for <br />one of the following uses or uses deemed similar by the Council: <br />A. Retail and Service Businesses. The following <br />neighborhood retail sales and service businesses supplying <br />commodities or performing a service primarily for residents in the <br />surrounding neighborhood: <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />Arts and school supplies store. <br />Banks and insurance companies. <br />Barber and beauty shops. <br />Bicycle sales and repair. <br />Books, magazines, record shop. <br />Drugs, candy, ice cream, soft drinks, <br />cosmetics and other usual drug store merchandise. <br />7. Dry cleaning and laundry pick-up stations <br />including incidental pressing and repair. <br />8. Garden supplies, florist shop. <br />Gift or antique shops. <br />Hardware store, paint store. <br />Hobby shops, camera and photographic supply <br />9. <br />10. <br />11. <br />stores. <br />12. <br />13. <br />14. <br />15. <br />repair stores. <br />Jewelry shops and repair. <br />Laundromats. <br />Locksmith. <br />Music, radio, TV, appliance sales and <br />furniture. <br />18. <br />19. <br />20. <br />carpet store. <br />16.
